At Stickity, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Stickity Chrome Extension.
 

When you use Stickity, we collect:
User Account Information:

- Your Google Account email address
- Your Google Workspace domain (for determining paid access)
- Trial start date (for managing 30-day free trial)
- Account status (free user vs. Stickity Pro subscriber)

 

Usage Information:

- Recently-used stickers (stored locally for quick access)
- Sticker features you use and settings you choose
- Interaction data to help us improve Stickity

 

For School Kit Users:

- Custom visual libraries uploaded for your school
- Branded templates and school-specific language
- This data is only accessible to users within your school or district

 

Important Note About Intended Users
Stickity is designed for educators (K-12 teachers, administrators, and support staff). It is not marketed or designed for use by students under 13. Schools using Stickity are responsible for ensuring compliance with FERPA and COPPA requirements.

How We Use Your Information
We use information we collect to:

- Provide the Extension: Authenticate your account, manage your free trial, and provide access to features you're entitled to
- Improve Stickity: Understand usage patterns so we can make the extension better
- Support & Troubleshooting: Fix bugs and technical issues
Personalization: Customize your experience (e.g., showing recently-used stickers)

Trial Access and Paid Features

New users receive a 30-day free trial of Stickity Pro
After the trial expires, users can upgrade to a paid Stickity Pro subscription for continued access to premium libraries
We store trial status and subscription information in our database to manage access levels

Where We Store Your Data
We use Google Firestore to securely store:

- Email address
- Trial and subscription status
- Recently-used stickers
- School Kit libraries and templates (if applicable)

 

Security: Firebase encrypts all data both in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols. Access to user data is restricted to essential personnel only.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share your information:

- When you consent to share it
- When legally required by law enforcement or court order
 

Data Retention
User Account Data:
We retain your email address, domain, and account information as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove all associated personal data within 30 days.
 

Usage & Activity Logs:
We may retain sticker usage logs and analytics data for up to 90 days to improve the extension.
 

School Kit Data:
Custom school libraries and templates are retained for as long as the School Kit subscription is active.
 

Your Privacy Rights & Choices
You can:

Manage your Google privacy settings through your Google Account dashboard
Request data deletion by emailing support@stickity.co
Opt out of usage analytics (if applicable) through the extension settings
Choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit access to certain features

Stickity's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only access Google information necessary to provide the extension's core functionality.
